News: Shia on JamShip?
2009 | Featured, Mentions, News
This isn’t confirmed, so please take it as hearsay until it is, but the JamShip website has mentioned Shia’s name along with a short list of other celebrities which means that even though it’s not official news it is possible that Shia will be participating in this better-than-twitter subscription service (costs about $5 a month). Here’s what the website has to say:
Fans who wish to receive calls from a JamShip celebrity partner will pay a small subscription service fee through the JamShip website every month. This allows a celebrity to receive a steady revenue from subscribers in addition to strengthening his/her fanbase.
Using a recorded message from a celebrity, fans will get a unique phone call with up-to-the-minute news every week. A Lakers fan can get a call from Kobe after the game, John Mayer can give exclusive info on his next album, and Shia LaBeouf can give behind-the-scenes gossip on the set of his latest film. JamShip can even program the consumer’s caller ID to display the celebrity’s name in most cases. In addition, JamShip can incorporate a “press 1″ campaign into the call that will transfer fans to operators ready to take orders for tickets, albums, DVDs, clothing, or other products.
Remember, unless it’s confirmed by Shia or his people it should not be considered true. Once we know for sure we’ll make sure to post something about it. Thanks to Margot for the tip!
