Unfortunately there’s no sign of Shia in this trailer, but it actually looks really good so far. Here is the announcement trailer for Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon:

I’m sure everyone remembers this, but awhile back Shia was reportedly psyched about the John Hillcoat big screen adaption of depression-era survival novel, “The Wettest County in the World” which also attracted the likes of several other celebrities desperate for a role. Unfortunately, due to funding the project seemed to dry up.

But now reports are coming in from several places that TWCitW is back on, and Shia is still attatched to the project. Here’s one from /Film (below is an excerpt, you can read more there.):

And now — huzzah! – it seems to be back from the grave, once again using the title The Wettest County in the World. Shia LaBeouf remains part of the project, but other rumored male co-stars have given way to a new actor who will join him: Tom Hardy.

According to The HD Room, who’s information seems to come from BadTaste (Italian), we could be seeing the first of the official Transformers 3 footage in the form of a trailer as soon as next week:

For the third and final Transformers film by Bay, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, a leaked announcement trailer description reveals that Bay and company are using that first film’s sneak peek to reveal the bookend series finale.

Italian movie website Badtaste describes the Transformers 3 announcement trailer as starting by cutting between footage of NASA’s control room and the Apollo 11 moon landing. As with the Transformers first trailer all is not as it seems on this mission when the control room proclaims “we are not alone” after the astronauts secretively journey to the dark side of the moon. The trailer then shows a couple quick glimpses of Transformer robots as the camera zoom into one of their eyes and into their body, revealing the Transformer is kicking back to life.

Michael Bay has promised we should expect to see this Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer online as early as next week.
